Estonia, a country in Northern Europe, borders the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Finland. Including more than 1,500 islands, its diverse terrain spans rocky beaches, old-growth forest and many lakes. Formerly part of the Soviet Union, it's dotted with castles, churches and hilltop fortresses. The capital, Tallinn, is known for its preserved Old Town, museums and the 314m-high Tallinn TV Tower, which has an observation deck.

STUDY IN ESTONIA is a cooperation platform of institutions of higher education in Estonia to increase visibility of Estonia as an attractive study destination and promote the possibilities for studying for international students. The activities are coordinated by Archimedes Foundation in the framework of Dora Pluss activity and financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

This academic year (2015/2016), Estonia hosts nearly 3800 international degree students, more than 1500 exchange students and ca 400 participants of summer or winter schools.
